Kitsune is a Secret-tier pet in Grow a Garden 2, added on August 7, 2026. Its passive sneaks out at night to steal fruit from empty gardens and turn that fruit Chakra.
How to get Kitsune
Kitsune is obtainable and can be pulled from the Exclusive Fall Chest or the Exclusive Harvest Egg. It is a Secret pet and comes in Normal, Big and Mega variants, but Big, Mega or Rainbow do not buff the ability — every variant runs the same numbers: a check every 5-10 seconds with an 85% chance per check to attempt a steal from an empty garden, a 3 second delivery on success, a 20% chance for the stolen fruit to come back mutated with Chakra, then a 10 second cooldown (only 3 seconds after a failed check).

Tips
- Do not chase a Big, Mega or Rainbow Kitsune for the ability — variants do not buff it, so a Normal runs the same 85% / 20% numbers.
- Kitsune only works when there is an empty garden to check, so it is dead weight in a lobby where every plot is occupied.
- Failed checks only cost 3 seconds of cooldown versus 10 after a success, so the pet retries fast when it finds nothing.
- Expect roughly 1 in 5 stolen fruit to come back Chakra-mutated — the 20% roll happens at delivery, 3 seconds after the steal lands.
